Sustaining your emotional choices in the spaces between the words. We’ll mine the silence for the specificity of your emotional intention. Come and explore the rich inner life of your characters. Play with the complexities of emotions that inform the human experience. Learn ways to extend the dynamic tension between players without sacrificing brevity. You will leave this workshop with tools for and appreciation of staying in the golden moment.
About the Instructor:
Diana Brown is an improv artist, teaching artist, actor, producer, director and voiceover talent. She was voted Most Valuable Mentor and Teacher at the San Francisco Improv Festival. Diana leads the improv program at Berkeley Repertory Theatre’s School of Theatre. She's an instructor, producer and a member of the leadership team with Leela Improv Theatre in San Francisco. Diana has presented presented improv workshops, intensives and “workshop to show” experiences at Improv Fest Ireland, Belfast Improv Fest, Rise Intensive, Vancouver Improv Fest, Ocean State Improv Festival, SAVI Fest, Gather Spring Improv Retreat, Countdown Improv Festival, Camp Improv Utopia, Queen City Comedy Experience. Diana is half of the duo Bingewatch, she plays in the Shakespeare-inspired trio Gamesome Frolic, the Tennessee Williams-inspired duo Fleeting Reminiscence. The Twilight Zone-inspired ensemble But of Mind.

BATS Improv Class Refund Policy
- If you cancel more than 96 hours (4 days) before a class begins, we will refund your tuition less a 15% processing fee.
- If you cancel within 96 hours (4 days) of your first class, or any time after your first class session, your tuition will be forfeit.
In the event that we cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, we’ll refund your tuition in full.

Cancellation Policy:
An event can only be canceled by the venue and/or event organizer. If the venue or event organizer cancels an event, you will be refunded within 4 business days of the event date for your purchase.
