Taste your way through downtown Detroit on a guided gluten-free food tour through the heart of the city’s revitalized core. Designed with gluten-intolerant food lovers in mind (not safe for people with celiac disease), this walking tour blends five delicious stops with a scenic, story-filled stroll through Detroit’s most iconic downtown sights.

As you wind your way past soaring Art Deco architecture, tucked-away alleys, and open-air views of the skyline, you’ll enjoy a thoughtfully curated mix of sweet, savory, and international gluten-free dishes each with a story of its own. No need to navigate menus or map out safe spots on your own; your guide has you covered so you can focus on the flavors and the city unfolding around you.

Dietary Restrictions and Food Substitutions

All food items meet gluten free requirements. Unfortunately, we can’t customize the tastings to meet other dietary restrictions. All food is pre-ordered, and substitutions are not available. Other tours may be offered in the future that will accommodate other dietary restrictions.

Can non-gluten-free friends join the tour?

Absolutely! Everyone is welcome. Just note that all the food served is gluten-free to keep the experience safe and consistent. Good news: the tastings are so good that they might not know the difference!

Age requirements:

Kids 12 and up are welcome. Just know our tours last about 3 hours and include a lot of walking, talking, and history—so it may be a bit much for younger ones. Child-friendly tours are in the works!

Waivers

Waivers must be completed and signed prior to starting the tour. A copy of the waiver is available HERE and on the website. The tour guide will also have copies of the waivers to sign on site.

Starting and ending locations

All tours will start at Nuevo Seoul (address on ticket). Tours will end closer to Comerica Park but the guide will escort guests back to the starting location via the QLine or People Mover. There is no additional charge for this as the QLine and People Mover are currently free.
